Another Weekend Working

Great to be really busy but I'm really looking forward to a few days off with Mrs E and Matty over Xmas, even if our Xmas day will be 27th Dec as Mrs E is working Xmas Day and Boxing Day, as will many other people in the caring industries. So the Bank Holidays will be work days for me and I'll match up my days off with Mrs E and really enjoy those days.

So another quick review of what we've been up to. Last week amidst the usually stuff of adding to websites, new websites, SEO, etc. there were a few extra things.

We launched the new design of our own site - still a few tweaks to do but it's somewhere near. There's always something that could be improved but it's OK at the moment and we'll update it with some new icon sets and content over the coming weeks. A big thanks to Steve who has done this whilst I've been on with other projects.

Tuesday saw me "do my bit" for the Redcar & Cleveland Council website being videoed for the Hub section of their website, It was done by Vicky who I used to teach BTEC Engineering to around 25 years ago - small world.

Thursday we had a stand at the Tees Valley Skills event -- unfortunately after our experience of sub-zero temperatures all day in the Riverside concourse, this is an event we have no intention of repeating. Very disappointed with the way it was organised, hopefully they will review this and if there is another one it will be better for those involved. It was supposed to continue until 6pm (I'd been there since 07:15 setting up) but the organiser's had no choice but to shut early as we were all voting with our feet and leaving from around 2pm due to losing all feeling in our extremities.

The main thing I've been working on is a mobile website for injury claims. I'm well chuffed with it and hopefully if all is agreed it will launch this week.
